About

icefishingMy name is Richard Andersson, I am a Swedish researcher with a Ph.D. in Polymeric Materials and a M.Sc. in Process Metallurgy. I originate from the small town of Finspång, but I spent most of my childhood in the slightly larger town of Norrköping. At the same time as I started my undergraduate studies I also moved to Stockholm to study at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), where I also performed my graduate and doctoral studies.

I have always been fascinated with technical devices, ever since I was a child. For example, on my first day at Tennis camp when I was 8 year old, I spent more time examining how the automatic ball machine worked than I did trying to hit  the actual tennis balls with my racket.

I did not know this at the time, but this was the start to a joyous career within the field of science and engineering .

I consider my-self as a multidisciplinary experimentalist, since my main subjects of interests range from electronic circuitry and microprocessor programming to process metallurgy and polymeric materials.
